Season 1 & 2
Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon (MKBKSH)/ I, A Woman, Can Achieve Anything! is a trans-media entertainment-education (EE) series designed in a women’s empowerment framework to enhance knowledge on health and positively influencing social determinants of health. The serial aims to empower communities to create a mass movement for a healthier, cleaner and more equitable society. The core of the initiative is the radio and television drama series, with extensions in local community radio stations, social media channels and through the Interactive Voice Response System; encouraging increased user engagement and parasocial interaction. Produced and launched by Population Foundation of India in 2014, MKBKSH has completed two successful seasons (131 TV and radio episodes) of broadcast on Doordarshan and All India Radio (216 stations), with large viewership.
Season 1 follows the journey of Dr. Sneha, the protagonist, who leaves her lucrative career in Mumbai to work in her village Pratappur and treat underserved people in the village and in nearby areas. Season 1 deals with themes like child marriage, sex selection at birth and gender discrimination among other pertinent issues.
In Season 2, we follow Dr. Sneha’s crusade to ensure the finest quality of healthcare for all. Her drive to overcome regressive social norms and empower women to lead collective action, through which women in villages find their voices. In the second half of the season, Farhan Akhtar, a prominent actor joins in as the Sutradhar or the narrator. Season 2 has a special focus on youth and adolescents; dealing with issues like mental health, drug abuse, and nutrition.
Season 3 builds upon the lessons and successes of Seasons 1 & 2 in using entertainment-education for a transmedia initiative. Launching in January 2019, Season 3 will address women’s rights, promote sexual and reproductive health, especially among the youth, and address socio-cultural barriers to safe sanitation and hygienic practices. The story of the series will unfold through Dr. Sneha’s journey to becoming sarpanch in her village.

Season 3
Season 3 of the show builds upon the lessons and successes of Seasons 1 & 2 in using entertainment-education for a transmedia initiative. The broad objective is to improve knowledge and initiate change in regressive social norms by promoting local solutions. Season 3 will address women’s rights, promote sexual and reproductive health, especially among the youth, and address socio-cultural barriers to safe sanitation and hygiene practices. The story of the series will unfold through Dr. Sneha’s journey to becoming sarpanch in her village.
